Beautiful

She was beautiful.
She was beautiful for the way her eyes sparkled and shone
Like thousands of fireflies lay beneath, dancing to a tune only she could hear.
The crinkles that accompanied her long. dark lashes
And the freckle that sat so perfectly onside.
The dimples that broke through the blush of her cheeks
And a perfect smile that lit every room.
She was beautiful when she wrote
Her brow furrowed in concentration as
She paused over metaphors and picked over the prose.
Pages of thoughts that spilled from her soul
And tumbled to paper like petals from a rose .
She was beautiful when she read
Lost in fiction of tales long forgotten
Engrossed in the images of white knights on horses
Of romances that spoke to her hearts desires
You could watch her forget where she was, for a second,
Then return to the now with a sad sort of smile.
She was beautiful when she slept
Hair splayed out over the pillow, lips gently parted
Enveloped by darkness as she lay curled in a ball.
Comforted by dreams that offered her endless adventures
To faraway lands.
But threatened by nightmares, tossing and turning her
Like a ship on high , tumultous seas.
She was beautfiul when she cried
Crystaline tears that pooled on her lashes
Escaping in rivers that caress the dimples and
Drop to the ground like the last falls of rain.
Heart wrenching sobs that catch in her throat
As the smile you adore is no longer a feature
But replaced by the pain of sadness.
She was beautiful and she never even knew.

This is gorgeous - the rose
This is gorgeous - the rose lines in particular. Can I make a suggestion to steer away from some cliches like 'lit up every room'? The rest of your lines are so well crafted you could go for something more obscure.
