MOUSE EARS

she spent her time in disneyland
much more than in her home
and even in her dreams at night
through disneyland, she'd roam
.
one day, when combing through her hair
she thought she felt some lumps
on close examination
she discovered two small bumps
.
she thought they'd merely disappear
alas, to her dismay
they didn't disappear at all
they grew more every day
.
one day it finally hit her
she must face her greatest fears
those bumps upon her noggin
were becoming mickey ears
.
she draped her hair around them
using hair spray every night
she'd tease it till a beehive
kept those mouse ears out of sight
.
it seemed the worst was over
but she thought her mind would crack
when next day she discovered
that her nose was turning black
