Passing Through
S’cuse me I’m passing through.
Past a crumbling cottage
with roses overgrown.
Someone’s dream now forgotten
For they were passing through.
S’cuse me I’m passing through.
Past the pots of gold heaven stacked
And wealth aplenty.
Fool! You were just passing through.
S’cuse me I’m just passing through.
House-proud, duelling neighbours
War over tiny plots of land.
Dust you’ll be, your just passing through.
S’cuse me, but 7.4 billion reasons
Not to fight, not to hoard,
Or fuel a bloated greed.
We’re all just passing through.

I like it, you can't take
I like it, you can't take anything with you! Thoughts of the rich farmer wanting to build bigger barns. Trust and the grace of God are treasure that will last. Rhiannon
