Still Life

I acquired an Aquarium,
Aquarium,
Aquarium.
I acquired an Aquarium
but hadn’t got a fish.
I filled it with my poems.
my pebbles,
my doodles,
I filled it with my chocolate coins
and words to make a wish.
I filled it full of tedium,
tedium,
tedium.
I filled it full of tedium.
emptied out my dish.
An interesting sludge
formed at the bottom,
something began to move.
I acquired an Aquarium,
Aquarium,
Aquarium.
I acquired an Aquarium
but haven’t shaped a fish.

Really liked this one.
It's like a skipping rope chant for very sinister children, who may be hiding tails in their pants and cloven hooves in their shoes.
Odd. Odd is good, always.
best
