Once there was an island in the middle of a river where a witch held a princess as her captive and a prince who wanted to rescue her tried and tried to reach the island by many different means but every time he tried, he failed.
He tried rowing a boat across the water but the witch poured termites into the boat and, because termites eat wood, they ate up the boat and it sank and the prince was almost eaten by the witches aligator who lived in the river.
So he tried floating across to the island with a baloon but the witch fired an arrow at the balloon and it burst and the prince fell down into the river and had to swim ashore quickly before the alligator could eat him.
Finally, he tried walking across the river on two tall stilts but the alligator started to snap at them and each time he took a bite out of the stilts they got shorter until the princes feet were in the water and he had swim back to shore again.
Then, sad that he couldn't rescue the princess, the prince started to cry but, when he did, a rainbow sprang from his tears and, walking upon the rainbow, he crossed it like a bridge onto the island.
Then, taking the hand of the princess, he led her back across the rainbow.
When the witch saw them crossing the rainbow, ofcourse, she started to chase after them but when the witch was half way across the rainbow it started to fade and the witch fell down into the river and was snapped up by her alligator.
After that the prince and princess lived happily ever after.
