As through the woods I wandered,
I saw a fairy queen;
waving the fairy wand of
a branch of evergreen.

At first I was just startled
as magic, I beheld
but, moonlit frost, she sparkled
and deep in love, I fell.

Chorus:
All the flowers of the Autumn,
she wore within her hair
they were her sons and daughters.
What happy smiles they bear.

From leaves of many colours
she wove her Autumn dress;
so when the sky is sullen
they spread sweet happiness.

Her hair was blazing fire;
her lips, red apple skin;
her voice a songbird choir
and the whisper of the wind.

Just like a maiden, spanish;
the fairy whirled and danced
then suddenly, she vanished
and I woke up from my trance.
