Halloween Harlequins

Halloween harlequins
dance by the light of the moon.
Tinkling mandolins,
they play a Halloween tune.

Faces so pallid, they
look just like porcelain dolls.
This is their holiday;
night of the harlequin ball.

Halloween harlequins
come bearing a palanquin
carrying Columbine,

She joins the carnival
