Eyes Wide Shut

Slump down spreadeagled
her spot in the corner feel the
pile’s squidgy uplift
drawing in peace
to the pipes of my body
A steady pulse throbbing
in the unexplored hollow
vapours enshroud an inferno
and this pulse is a correspondent of time
both cementing and defusing:
distilling perception from
incontinent scratches to a smooth silk vermilion
To see the world stark by not wanting or waiting
just sit and be hinged to each subtle sensation
the suchness of moment installs like a unit,
a union.
Or move to the window eyes wide like peaches,
the outside,
so much to see, a glorious
stillness an insistent entrenchment
