Look Around

and view personal
gems which
adorn our apt walls-
pictures and cards
plus two crow feathers
on a trail we hiked.
Oh the memories:
one son & castle on
a beach -- other
sons building
a shed in the back yard.
Daughter -- husband
remember the wedding?
I walked you proudly
down the aisle.
Now staring back
at me proves it
was a great occasion.
Our own Hall of Fame
greets us daily-
friends and family divas
in picture paths
from room to room–
smiling faces mounted
over many years.
How did we age so soon?

I like the idea of memories
I like the idea of memories being held in pictures that are on the walls. Yes I agree with those last two lines and wonder where the years go and how we age so quickly.
Nice piece Richard.

growing up and growing old
Indeed. Good question, how dit we age so soon? Yes those old photos hey? I myself wouldn't like being confronted by them all the time.
Cheers! Happy new year Richard! &

The pictures show the riches of your life. I like the idea of a path of photos, too, linking time with space
