Looking out, glimpsing in

I look out,
they look in
– my eyes are windows,
transparent skin.
I can’t see out
without revealing
complex emotions
I am feeling.
Though eyes I veil,
my face control,
I still can't fully
obscure my soul.
By these I view
things far and near,
and others note
if I’m sincere.

you have such sensitivity
you have such sensitivity about eyes! I remember you writing about your son learning how to read people. This is a really clever take on the IP too

Eyes
I so totally agree with your poem. When I read a poem and wish 'I'd written it' then it comes from gratitude for putting into words what I have felt.
Eyes say so much and it is true that they too can lie, but often they reveal a deeper meaning within.
Loved it (as usual) well done.
