The friendly spider roams at night

Descending from her webs

Her x-ray vision watches me

As I lay sleeping in my bed

 

The basement is the place for her

It dark and damp and cool

Hiding behind the garbage cans

From the hidden corner's view

 

Clearing our all the pests and stuff

Spiders are the clean-up crew

Next time you see one say thank you

For all the kindly tasks they do!

They come and go as they please

 

Oh here comes another friend!

Sliding under the basement door

Its centipede our dear old friend!

To join the basement floor

 

Now centipedes their the best

They don't mean any harm

To mantis friends they give great hugs

Cause they have so many arms!

When my free-range friends

Crawl fondly on my blankets

They crawl inside my pjs

And get inside my pockets

 

They really make me giggle then

They like me just that much

When they crawl up on my skin

They are ticklish to the touch!

 

So don't forget when you see a pet

That trapped inside a home

That free-range pets are even better yet

Because they have free range to roam!

 

They don't need no ownership

To be the best they are

They would rather give their gifts

Roaming wide and far
