Day’s Eye:
One of the earliest to respond
to the turn of the seasons,
it’s beauty undervalued,
bright white stars glitter in the sunshine,
setting off the golden dandelion suns
spattered across the happy swards
Each flower, a collection of florets –
yellow tiny round ones spiralling beautifully
in the circular centre
surrounded by a ring of white single-petal ones –
closes each night or when the day is dull,
opens in the bright light of day

Lovely composition to the Day
Lovely composition to the Day's Eye - I like that name for Daisy too- You've captured the delicacy of the bloom. The night and day of its existence, opening to the morning sun and sleeping in the evening moonlight.
'closes each night or when the day is dull,
opens in the bright light of day'
A lovely poem - I am a fan of the daisy too.

This bit reminds me so much
This bit reminds me so much of the little park near us. It always lifts my heart to see the dandelions and daisies there, and you express this feeling exactly. You are brilliant!!!

yes, but not how you did!
yes, but not how you did! There was an amazing one I think about all the yellows in Springtime, last year? You are brilliant at choosing just the right words, simple ones but make such a huge impression, a purity
