Summer Comes

Suffused with morning’s
gleam I rest upon a back porch
where snowy remnants
melt away in last days
of huddled crystals
once rampant as a runaway kite:
now birds begin to trill
as spring officially withdraws.

Why does everybody write about summer and spring, now? It's a bit early if you ask me, well here it is really on the threshold of summer. It's wonderful you know.
