awakes from a fanciful dream

sits up and places

bony toes on the floor.

The sun shines too brightly

into morning eyes-

takes a moment to think.

A new foster home

with kindness and cheerful

faces - really nice.

He should give them a chance.

This poem is written to honour our adopted son, Scott Joseph Edward Dunn Provencher, who passed away January 6, 2020 in Abbotsford, BC while awaiting a double lung transplant.
