Samurai

Raindrops turn into

a pounding surf on our

asphalt driveway

splits a pile

of autumn

leaves into scattered

colours

spaced into sectors apart

enough room

for a Samurai warrior

to complete a

fearsome dance

and the storm provides

a haven for nature’s

natural colour

and the intricate designs

of the dancer.
