A Cure For All Time?
The pitiful form laid seeking a cure
Potions, pills, powders to make pure
A humble offering pleading to God?
Not from this pitiful, penniless sod.
‘Purity of soul must be your goal
Seek deep within for your healing
With a sinful soul we are dealing!
Many moons on wisdom abounding
Hippocratean zeal astounding
The white coated angel in making
Tangled complex Latin surrounding
Peering, patronising with every breath
‘If only you’ll listen you simple little man
My velvet words of healing
Is with what you are dealing.
A simple solution now must you view
Do as I say now, not as I do.
Instant cures at the bid of a click
So long in darkness, were we so thick?
Endless solutions hang in the ether
The bastion of modern byte size healing
Still in pain I glare, watching flies dance on the ceiling.
