Joe is the Man

He shuffles in a

meandering sort of way

up one side of

the street down another

no special route as

long as it gets him home

after a long Crossing

Guard work-day.

Save the kids

is his motto and he does-

some drivers

needing a face to face

until they know

looking out for kids

is serious work.

As he gets closer

to home a shadow in the

window always first

to yell-

Daddy’s Home!
