I put this playlist together right before my wedding. Not because there’s anything romantic about it in the slightest, but because my then-fiancé was listening mainly to Top 40 radio stations. My taste in music has always been somewhat off-the-beaten-path. Not that I have anything terribly against Top 40 radio—in fact, I enjoy much of it—but I thought that it might be fun to try to make a playlist that would satisfy both our tastes. This started as a playlist of about 200 songs, which I whittled to just 11 after several painstaking weeks.
Success turned out to be limited, however, because I ended up liking this playlist far more than she did. Nonetheless, I still play this in the car quite a bit when we go on road trips. (And I listen to it a lot more when I’m on my own.) The music is glossy and exciting, catchy and poppy, mostly electronic, and most of all, fun.

I can never resist someone
I can never resist someone else's playlist. This, together with a jug of coffee and the last of the festive biscuits, will keep me occupied for the afternoon.

We went out for the afternoon
We went out for the afternoon and stayed out until quite late, so I didn't get round to listening to this yet.
I'm just wondering, do you create your playlists on Spotify? It's a lot easier for me to listen if you do.
If you do happen to be on there and you're looking for me, I'm Turlough Ó Maoláin.

Thank you very much for that.

This morning I finally got
This morning I finally got round to listening to this. There’s some good stuff in the list but it’s maybe a bit more polished and synthesisery than my usual taste. I’m always interested to hear what other people are listening to though. Thank you for sharing it. I’ll look forward to your next one.
