The Rebirthed Torana

I bought a V8 Torana form a specialist performance car dealer

and took the repayments once a month over a four year plan .

I worked seven days a week and paid the car every week

instead of once a month back in the day when I was living as a single man .

The Torana was tuned to perfection and with modifications made to the engine

she ran like a rocket on the streets of Sydney .

With only two payments left , I would own her outright in less than

twelve 12 months due the frugal spending and the strict control of my money .

To celebrate this achievement I’d made I went out one night alone for a beer

at Wenty Leagues club where I stayed for just a half an hour

When I returned to the carpark the Torana was not there

where it had been parked and then it came to me that someone had stolen my car .

It was hard to believe that this could have happened ,

After I made a report to the police my sister came in her car to bring me home .

It left me with an awful feeling , right down to the bone .

There are bad people out there who somehow think

That they can take things they do not own .
