I am going to a wedding on Saturday,

There will be bottles of Champagne

for the main few people there

and when the corks pop they will know

exactly the spelling each bottle makes.  It's not

exactly a p.o.p but if it's done properly there'll by a xylophone

of x's. I am on the phone to the confetti canon hiring company.

What does each one sound like, phonetically? I ask

and they are so reluctant as tehy spell out boom.

Let me get my colleage, they say to me, apologetically

and this new person spells out the sound of each canon so

enthusiastically I can hear the pzzz of her can of gin and tonic

opening as she tells me the best confetti cannon is like

a hot air balloon, snorkelling, but the thing is,

she says to me, although I know really she's addressing

her colleages. Weddings aren't about anything, really

as long as you have the right songs.
