Looking Up

Such greatness in

a movement of silvery

branches – your silhouette

against a rocky crest

led me to this solemn space

where sounds of trickling

moisture gathers at

your footstool of moss – as a

bearded fringe beside

a pool of pure spring water.

I continue to feast

upon the profile of this

sentinel-brother

and we both surrender

to a valley of peace.
