I row,
I row against the tide,
I rage against the wind.
I rage.
We make no progress,
I feel your spittle
on my face.
We both shout the truth,
or so we believe.
We cannot both be right.
There are constants;
incontrovertibles,
things we cannot dispute.
Yet we do.
I believe you believe.
I know you know:
You have told me so.
Only one of us
can be Galileo.
