First Come First Served

Only a country

mile down the trail  

I could hear

an early morning

bear and cubs

surely not eating

our berry bush

I worried.

Yup there they

were gulping back

tasty blueberries

from our patch

the kind that

momma liked for

pies & my

buddy and I

headed home-

okay we fish I

asked instead of

picking berries?
