A Nursery Rhyme Updated

Pussy cat, pussy cat,
why the frustration?
I had been invited
to the Coronation

but as I queued
in the guests' line
I realised that
I was the only feline.

It was not because
I am an aristo-cat,
no, the real reason
wasn't just that.

In fact the purpose
for me being there
was to catch any mouse
under the King's chair.
