A Field of Hugs

‘Snow is water vapour
frozen in the upper
atmosphere and falling
to earth in crystal form.’
(c) Collins Gage Canadian
Early arrivals sprinkle
from a sky overloaded with
dire weather warnings &
slam into the landscape
seeking every hidden crevice
masking each rock &
countless bulges of topsoil.
Now a comforting wall
of hugging snow
lays atop everything in sight-
its flatness in white
denotes an aura of purity
& innocence – of peaceful
intentions
in a brou-ha-ha of life.

A peaceful blanket of snow
A peaceful blanket of snow quieting the brou-ha-ha. Reading your poem I could see the first flakes drifting down from the vapor laden clouds and covering the trash and uneven roads, until it is pristine with winter's paint. I enjoyed this poem very much.
