Chapter 10 .

Smoke In The Wind 

 

 

It was twilight and Bucko was sitting watching the sun go down  and contemplating how lucky he was to live in such a beautiful place , cut off from the world on top of a mountain . Looking up at sky he contemplated all of the wonders of life and the special gifts of teleportation he had given and the knowledge that was given to him so that he could make a difference in the world . The earthwas a beautiful place and life had been good to him . As the light was fading, he returned inside his home . He sat down in a chair by the window at peace with himself and at peace with the world around him , the sound of footsteps crossing the floor broke the silence and he turned around and said ,

“Welcome back again to my humble mountain home my travelling friend “

The traveller replied ,

“  Hello Bucko , have you ever considered all of the universe out there far beyond our planet thought how small we are in that big space ?”

Bucko nodded his head and said , 

“Imagine just how small we all are in the bigger picture of life here and beyond ?”

The traveller walked over to the kitchen table and lit a candle that was there and said.

“We’re just a breath within an eternal storm . We’re here and gone in a flash “

Then he blew out the candle and sat down .

“Tell me traveller . What is my mission this time  ?”

The traveller replied ,

“The mission is called Awareness Time . Very soon there is going to be a G20 summit in South Africa with all the heads of state meeting to discuss global warming on the planet . Your mission will be to bring some items to that conference that I have in a case here . There is a time capsule from the future that you are to leave with instructions on how to open it and what needs to be done before it’s too late because the planet now is in danger of losing its ability to regenerate life and if global warming continues , it will have a very damaging effect on all of the fertile lands around the earth turning o green fields into dry dusty wastelands “

 

Bucko replied .

“Oh no that would be terrible . What an awful future that would be for everyone on the planet . So, is there anything else I need to do ?”

The traveller said.

“Well, they may not want to open the time capsule so I have 20 devices for you to bring and leave at all the places where the world leaders are going to be seated . The devices have information about the future for them to see .”’

Bucko replied ,

“That sounds really cleaver . I hope they will take heed of the information . So, is there anything else that I have to do ?“

The traveller replied ,

“The third task you need to do will be to upload a short video presentation that I have in the case . You will need to put it into their computer system in a file called G20 video selections that will be played for all the leaders to see at the summit . As soon as the file is uploaded it will play automatically in sequence with the other short movies scheduled and once the program has started,they cannot reverse the process so they will need to watch it all . It’s a short movie called ”Smoke In The Wind” which is a warning for the leaders of the world about what will happen to the planet if they don’t act now on climate change . So, you need to follow the instructions on how to upload the presentation into their computer system  and so those three tasks are all you have to do on your mission . So, if all that is clear , I will leave you now to study the photos and read the details before you are ready to teleport to that conference centre in South Africa . Any questions ?”

Bucko replied.

“ No everything is clear . I’ll soon get started . “

The traveller reassured Bucko by saying ,

‘Remember Bucko we are always around watching on your mission’s , so there; s no need to worry about anything . Good luck ” :

After that the traveller disappeared from sight .

Bucko spent the next few days reading all the information and getting comfortable with the photos of  the area where he had to go . Now he was ready to teleport to South Africa to that special time and place where the world leaders were going to meet .

He closed his eyes and focused on the images he had embedded in his mind and focused on the conference centre in South Africa and when he opened up his eyes he was standing in a huge conference room . There were 20 individual places set up for each of the heads of state .  He found the program of all the times during the two-day summit when the discussions would be taking place so now that he had the time frame he could slot into place the right moments for him to get everything put in place for the completion of his mission .

Luckily Bucko was invisible to everyone and everything as none of the security cameras of armed guards were aware of him being there .

Outside the conference centre there was a heavy military presence surrounding the area . Soldiers with weapons were also on guard inside the building as well . Already Bucko had placed the time capsule on the platform where the most powerful leader in the world would be attending . Then he proceeded to secretly place all of the devices on all every platform for all the leaders of the world to find . Then he had to make his way to the computer room to upload the file into the video scheduling program . He had all the passwords and file details so each step was easy to do before he loaded up the presentation called “Smoke In The Wind “

Now all he had to do was to hang around and watch the proceedings take place . Some other travellers also started to arrive to see and listen to the meeting about to begin .

The first issue that was going to be addressed at the summit was on climate change,

The speaker commented ,

“ Everything in life happens for a reason and I guess climate change is a part of that process .We as heads of state must also change the way we govern the resources and put in place more solutions to provide the energy that is needed to sustain our way of life instead of destroying the environment we share “

One of the other speakers continued ,

“Nature is governed by the four elements of the earthfire , wind , water and air , when we try to govern over the ways of nature, we are tampering with the elements that will bring an increase in global warming . We need to sustain life and put in place programs that work with climate change before it becomes too hot to handle “ .

“We have started replanting trees in the forests and cleaning up the rivers and oceans . There is much more we need to do to keep our planet clean “

Other speakers added to the discussion ,

“There has been an increase in natural disasters . Recent earthquakes and tsunamis have seen many live lost around the planet and as result research has shown that wildlife and insects are mutating and becoming stronger . The other interesting factor is some species of life on earth have now become extinct dur to climate change . Wildfires are increasing around the world and a huge cost to governments to tackle the fires that are triggered by climate change “

One of the heads of state made a comment ,

“How much longer can life survive here on the planetwith the growing climate change problem  . We all must work at adapting new ways to protect our planet and stop making all those mistakes we did in the past “

 

At that point the most powerful leader in the world lifted up the time capsule and told the leaders of the world what he had found . He slowly opened up the small capsule and a light projected a  3D hologram person from the future that walked around the conference room talking about the future on earth that had to change in order to survive the effects of global climate change . The entire population on earth are  living underneath the ground due to the extreme temperatures on the surface . The warning for the world today is to begin changing and addressing global warming before it gets out of control . The hologram projected images of earth that resembled the surface on Mars . All the leaders of the world were in shock at the things they heard and saw . The time capsule shut down and left silence in its wake . They had a break before the next session and all of the heads of state were seen to put the small devices into their pockets .

The next day when the video “Smoke In The Wind “ was shown , all of the world leaders watched in disbelief as the future world leaders spoke about what the world . There were short interviews with some of the people who had tried to put in place shields to deflect the heat of the sun but eventually it was too hot on the surface to  maintain the shields . There were images of all the cities around the world that showed a slow collapse of structures due to the severity of the heat and then images of the building of all the underground cities for the population of the earth to continue their existence . All that was now left on the surface was a lingering brown smoke in the wind .

A warning from the future had been given and all the leaders of the world agreed to commence an all-out plan to tackle climate change and adapt a new strategies and global frameworks to save the planet .

Bucko returned back to his mountain home happy to have completed his mission .
