If It Seems Too Good To Be True....

My husband Paul, had a letter, it was still unopened when I retruned from work, the following day. I said, "You haven't opened your letter?" Paul never opens any of his letters, he always wants me to do it.
I opened his letter, he said, "What is it?" I said, "It's only the lottery." When he knew, it was an 'ok' letter he was ok, and wanted to see it. I gave it to him. He read it, "Paul you are a regular lottery customer and as a thank you we are giving you a free lottery numbers, just use this code." Paul said, "I have only played the lottery about five times in my life, and none of them involved giving my name and address, so how can she say that?"
I said, "That proves it is a scam, it is nothing, you need to throw the letter away." Paul said, "But it could be real?" I said, "Why would they give you a free go on the lottery, they don't know you, nor are you a regular player of the lottery?" I could see how easy it is, these scammers they are heartless, they don't care about anybody, they give false hope.
Later on that day, I tore up the letter, and threw it in the bin. The next day, I thought did I do the right thing? What would have happened if, Paul had used the numbers on the lottery letter, would we be rich in a few days? They would have wanted his bank details, to send his winnings. It was too late now, now we would never know.
Today I was still thinking about it, and decided to look on Trustpilot, and it seems they were legit. Paul was not the only one to have received the letter, others had too, and were not happy about it! Maybe the Company should not have stated that they were regular lottery players, maybe that was their first mistake; just offering the free lottery numbers, would have been better. If I was giving them feedback, that is what I would say to the.
I still stand by, If is seems too good to be true, it is too good to be true! No regrets?
