The Magic Swallows

Once upon a time there was a lovely little swallow called Jenny. She met her mate Tom in the spring of their youth and their love bloomed ever more. They flew South when the winter came to the warmer lands of an eternal summer of love. In the loving summer of their lives they had many little chicks who grew big and strong and flew away to start a home of their own. Then they flew North again to another season of love in the next spring of love. So their days went summer after summer and they didn’t know what a winter was, growing older together in love and life everlasting. But one day Tom Swallow grew old and he slowly perished away in health and died one lovely summer's day. Jenny was left all alone and she too had grown older and slightly worse for wear with age and the cares of a long and happy life. She had had many children and she was afraid that her life too was growing towards an end to it all. It was a sad spring of loneliness and sorrow with no mate anymore and the troubles of life weighing heavily on her two little shoulders. Alone and forsaken forever it seemed. Even coming to an untimely end herself she wept alone and lonely. But yet, one beautiful summer’s day, along came a little mate who was also alone in this loving season of life and warmth. He was a little fellow named Jack the Magic Swallow who, although younger than herself, had also not found a little mate of his own the whole long mating season through. When he spotted Jenny Swallow alone and forsaken in an old oak tree it was love at first sight for both of them, even though she was much older than him in Swallow years. They flew away South when the winter came and mated with the true love and romance of youth in the warm summer lands down under one more time. True love always comes right on time. Be young of heart and have a free spirit forever. Never fear. True Love is in the air and is always near. Live on and love on forever as free birds of love.

This is such a tender loving
This is such a tender loving little tale Jacques. I adored the fact that Jenny wasn't left to grow old alone.
Thank you for sharing.
Jenny.
