 A Time Of Rapture And Glory

The beautiful world we live in , you and me , had always been filled with wonder all around us and yet we never noticed the beauty . The birds flying through a blue-sky people smiling as they passed by on the concrete streets of the towns and cities ,

The frantic pace of life getting to and from work every day in the octane zones that kept us all busy in one way or another . The beautiful world where rain fell and winds blew as seasons came and went with flowers and trees and life and everything adapting and to the changes on earth and then it came as if it had been arranged and we had never been told the day it would come .

Jim worked as an engineer at first who became a man of knowledge in the building industry . One of the buildings he had overseen was probably in the city and he had an office on the top floor that held books that had every part number , blueprints and plans of the entire building , floor by floor , room by room . Every little thing that moved or stood , he had personally been part of during the development of the project to the completion .

Once a year he did a routine check on all of the plumbing and electrical system and on this occasion while he was scanning and performing his regular tests Jim detected a crack in the foundations of the building .

In the short time that he was there the crack started to get wider and the next thing he knew he heard voices coming from the crack in the foundations . The voices were coming from underneath the ground . He called but no one answered back .

He was concerned and immediately left taking no time getting tom the street level where he made his way to the police station nearby to make a report in person of what he had seen and heard to the police . 

Out on the street he noticed there were a lot of  broken flagstones  on the footpaths  . Some concerned men and women stood there talking about the footpath the suddenly started shaking .

People on the street began to pray . Then there was a silence that lasted for a few  minutes before the ground opened up . Strange hideous looking creatures emerged from huge gaps around the city streets and they began shooting and throwing bombs . The moon turned red as the army of dark intruders went from street to street killing and creating chaos .

There  were riots that ran all through night the dawn came and then these half humans , half demon creatures returned back down under the ground where they had come from and as they did all the gaps in the ground closed up again . 

In the morning light , dark clouds gathered  in the sky above like blots of charcoal splattered in the sunrise  . One half of the sky  seemed to disappear . Then through an opening trumpet sound began to blast and fiery chariots appeared one after another as the people on the streets ran for cover .

Some people on the streets were lifted up and taken away by these fiery chariots that all disappeared again behind the clouds then the blue sky returned and the birds began to sing .  Life was different now , everything had changed , people were wandering around in a panic , confused and lost . Church bells began to ring out and people were returning to the church’s that were overcrowded with people looking for an answer .

All around the city people stood on corners screaming out ,

“Lord have mercy on the people “

Later in that day the ground started to shake and cracks again opened up again.

as the dark creatures invade the city again on a purge taking people at random .

Jim had never married ; he gave his life to his career . He never had been to  church and after seeing what was going on he wasn’t able to grasp why these events were taking place , Jim had always had an answer for problems with machines and equipment . He knew how everything worked and yet his engineering skills had no answer for the recent events around the city. This was something he couldn’t fix .

He was troubled and concerned about the safety of people around the city and now the same things were happening all over the world . Armies and governments were unable to stop the attacks and were at a loss to defeat the invaders . All military weapons were useless against the attackers . There was no solution .

Jim decided he would like many others go to the church in search for an answer to what was happening . These unexplained and unknown events had arrived without warning and the situation was getting worse day by day .

After the seize from the creatures at night in the morning the fiery chariots would appear in the sky and people on the ground would be taken up . . Many church leaders had different explanations of what was happening . Some said it was part of God’s cleansing on the world , others said it was part of the rapture and glory others said it was the last days while others spoke of aliens and demons being unleased from hell ,

For almost a week the same thing happened . Jim was unable to explain why this had happen but somehow his mind had been opened by someone in the church who said a church leader who said one thing to Jim .

“Nothing can change what is going to come Jim . Be still and know that God will have his way “
