The Quest

The quest for the holy grail of being is a tumulteous pursuit and one not to be taken likely. To begin with we have not got a designated path to travel down which is signposted towards a flat planed and green horizon in the distance. You may have been brought up in a religious house hold and born into a specific type of faith. This may be your road map to freedom and used to navigate your way around the pitfalls of life but being told not to go certain places and experience certain things in case you fall into the depths of sin is not the same as actually walking in the dark and being able to find your way out into the light by yourself.
When we talk of sin we of course mean thoughts. Everything that you initiate whether that be positive, negative or none of the above derives from thoughts that occur in your mind. The seed is planted with a single thought and if you let if stay there, embedded in the soil of your consciousness, then it will sprout and flourish; the light from your minds eye giving it life and the repetition of time watering it to enhance its growth. The majority of thoughts will be washed away with the stream of consciousness that goes on every moment you are awake but some have the strength to stay still long enough to bury their heads. Once the seed has grown into a flower and has fruits to give then you will inevitably take from what has been grown. The fruit begets action and from action comes consequence as cause and effect takes place. If the fruit is one of passion then you will act passionately. If it envies it's neighbour you will certainly act in an envious way. The thought that is now seemingly rooted into your being and is feeding you on a daily basis seems to be you. If people were to list your negative attributes they would mention that you have envious tendencies as it's describes your persona for better or worse. But you were alive before that seed was buried, you were present before the fruit populated your mind. And of course if that plant was to be washed away in a flood that pulled the root out and tossed it aside into the abyss then you would still be present, conscious and being as you have always been.
The religious household that you may or may not have been brought into will prescribe you with a handful of seeds that will be planted deep within your consciousness from birth. They will be fed with essential nutrients, watered daily with repetition and the light of their minds eye will shine blindingly upon it until its tall enough to impede your view. The fruit will hang from every limb and be consumed until you can't imagine life without it's taste. Your actions will be enriched with the fruit as every thought you have and every action is born from the original seed planted before you could even knew what a seed was.
