The Pallid Creature

I found a creature in my shed
A pallid looking being
When I entered he jumped up
And nearly touched the ceiling

When he was calm I tried it again
This time I did not fail
He was hanging upside down
Gripping by using a tail

I looked at him closely
And what did I see
Three little red eyes
Staring straight back at me

Now I was scared
(To say the least)
Of this thin little monster
He was a beast

He was covered in cuts
Head to toe
How they got there
I never will know

He had wild hair
All greasy and brown
He looked up at me
And I looked back down

His neck was so thin
How could he breathe?
I couldn’t bear looking
So I decided to leave

But when I was out
I could not forget
The small pallid creature
That I had just met.
