Liberation
Things looked bleak.
When beauty is but a burden
rather than a blessing
and winter looms an icy fate
as punishment for vanity,
that isn't even your own,
you know that things are bad.
The princess sighed
and twisted and turned
in vain attempts to free
herself from imminent adversity,
awaiting her destiny of tragedy.
Naked she stood, wrists red raw
from rough ropes that bound
her white hands above her head.
Just when all seemed lost
to the impending doom,
From nowhere -
a gentle breath...
A whirling wind,
carrying a warm sweet scent
of spring swept past,
caressing her skin with promises
of hope and love.
There soaring amongst the clouds
Riding a majestic winged steed -
a warrior, clad in gleaming armour
Fair hair tousled from the breeze,
muscular arms, tanned, hairs gleaming
as if sprayed with gold.
A Demi God, a vision before her eyes,
refreshing her soul and renewing
her hope and zest and zeal.
He wrapped her nakedness
with his crimson cloak
and in his arms
she rode, sun setting on the winter
away from the misery that faced her.
On to a life filled with love
to elate her and elevate her
to the skies and beyond -
an immortal Galaxy.
Defied her apparent destiny.
No longer a victim, a survivor.
The vision of love in the stars.
Andromeda.

Well this made me look up the story, myth of Andeomeda, and then come back and read again. You have caught it attractively in your composition.
How myths seem to catch the universal desire for love, justice, rescue, valour, attractiveness of personality and looks. Even as do modern 'superman' adventures! Always feel they give the longings, but only the reality of the gospel really gives a down-to-earth full solution to sure rescue from distress! Rhiannon
