A short and sweet poem, AE,
A short and sweet poem, AE, with a nice flow.
I knew the word 'osculate' and used in a poem of mine called Christmas Crackers part of which reads:
Last year I saw mummy
standing on tiptoes
kissing Santa Claus.
This year it was the turn
of that bearded chum
to osculate my mum.
I was in a quandary.
Should I believe mother
when she told me
that he was my father?

I suspect 'osculate' is likely more a word for life rather than the day Holly. You did good here in its subtle representation of cherries Excellent result.
