Every morning at the end of my street,
Is where the opposing armies meet,
The scenes sometimes shock me,
The creatures cruel, the monsters mean,
But still they meet every morning with the road in between.
The pigeons are haughty and reserved in their habits,
The magpies are mad and friends with the rabbits,
The battles rage unceasingly,
To decide who will rule this little patch of green,
And so they meet every morning with the road in between.
