Omar's Diary 16th June 2015 Royal Ascot Selections for Day 1

Today is the first day of the 2015 Royal Ascot meeting and the ultimate showcase for the sport of kings. Unfortunately I am unable to attend this year due to my ongoing recovery from the wee problem. The queues in The Royal Enclosure apparently are horrendous and I just will not compromise myself in amongst the unwashed that seem to be allowed in these days.
My man servant and ...I have worked out a system of selecting horses yet to be proven for its efficiency and accuracy. He places the Racing Post open on the race card for the day outside my litter tray. Then when I get into the full dig and scratch mode some of the litter flies out and the horses with the most litter deposited on them in this way are my selections. So here goes:
2:30 Queen Anne Stakes
Toormore ridden by Richard Hughes and trained by Richard Hannon. Toormore is a very nice refined malt whisky and apart from the deposits of litter is the only other reason I have made this selection. Current price is 15/2 My second selection in this race is Esoterique who has come all the way from France. I know the spelling should be 'Esoteric' but the horse is from France so I say no more. Currently priced at 15/1 so this could be an each way choice.
3:40 The King James Stand Stakes
The random litter distribution method has chosen Pearl Secret from the Qatari stables and early price is 16/1 in a field of 19. The second selection is Shamal Wind. Coincidentally one of my siblings was named Shamal and he really could be quite unsociable sometimes. A guide price at time of writing is 15/2.
4:20 St James's Palace Stakes
This race is very difficult as there are only six runners so most of litter projectiles went into the classified advertisements section but those that are chosen are Consort at 11/2 and Gleneagles at 4/6.
There will be the usual excellent coverage on Channel 4 this afternoon showing these races as well as the high society fashions.
Remember to gamble resposibly and when it isn't fun anymore; STOP!
