tell me that I'm sick and tell me that you
don't think it's beautiful, and really,
it's a really ugly thing that's being
done to a beautiful person.
romanticizing what's destroying me
doesn't make me feel any better, and I understand
how it can be an addiction, because I hate it and love it
and shall spend the rest of eternity fighting it.
tell me it's ugly.
tell me i'm beautiful.
you don't tell a person who has fibromyalgia
that their pain is beautiful, and that suffering can
be the best part of being artistic.

how a poet writes on
Permalink Submitted by littleditty on
how a poet writes on (universal)(shared) suffering and beauty, and how a poet touches something of the realisation of beauty, and suffering, of their reader, is what has interested me...you assert yourself here loud and clear, and the voice of the poet is beautiful, can be beautiful especially when something true and honest communicates something important off the page - such a good point you make here..
