One morning a lonely boy awakes
To the sun shining through his window
into his eyes as if to awaken him
up he gets
rolling out of bed feelin empty and lost
he stumbles into his wardrobe
just grabbing first thing he sees
jeans n a top
sighing as he walks downstairs
he goes to fridge
though no food
he takes deep breathe
picks up his keys and wallet
opens front door as he puts on his coat
locking the door behind him
he walks down the road
as cars go by he takes no notice
people on the street seem to avoid hm as he walks with his head down
puts his hands in his pockets
as he forgot his gloves
and its gettin chilly and dark
as he enters the park
walking through
he sees a girl on the park bench
with her head in her hands
as he stops and stares
he breathes in and carries on
out the park and across the road into the shop
he wonders to the fridge
picks up two bottles of juice
pays at the counter
ignoring the hello from the staff
as his eyes are set on the girl in the park
he exits the shop with juice in his hand
crosses the road still staring
he enters the park his eyes still locked
as he opens his bottle he tries take a gulp
he spills it
just a little though he dont stop
wipes his mouth
and takes a seat on a bench opposite
the girl with her head in her hands
he sits looking and wondering whats up with her? Is she alone?
Bad break up?
Lost someone or a pet?
Is she upset with losing her house?
Upset about costs or being unwanted?
As an old lady walking her dog walks along
and takes a seat next to him
she plays with her dog as it sits on its back legs
and waits
he puts his hand to his face
too hide the fact he is staring at the girl
women turns and says
' you two together? '
he answers erm? ' no'
she shrugs her head
he says ' why u doing that?
" women replies ' if that were me
I wouldnt want someone to stare!
Though I would love a hug '.
He breathes in
counts to ten
one step them another
slowly approaching crying girl
he sits next to her
places a bottle between her feet
she turns to look at him
make up all messed
mascara running with the tears
her hands black too
her eyes and cheeks all puffy
she sniffs and nervously says
' thank you'.
He leans forward as she falls into his chest
his arm holds her as she cries into him
he strokes her hair
as he looks across to the bench he was on
old lady still there
she smiles as she fades away
the boy smiles, looks down at the girl
and says as he strokes her hair
' I aint going any where '
