I wish I was a puffin
So no worry ‘bout my sin;
I wish I was a bird
So about the world I’d learn;
I wish I was a crane
So I could fly through rain;
and
I wish I was a butterfly,
But it’s only a dream
upon the sky.

I'm really surprised I missed your work.
This is a great little poem and I agree with you about the butterfly, although if I were to be reincarnated, I would love to come back as a Golden Eagle, such a majestic bird.
Thank you for sharing this poem and I'll read some more of your work.
Jenny.
