OPENNESS

If I open myself to you,
What if you don't like what you find?
What if I'm unacceptable;
At least, from the view of your mind?

What if after my soul is bared,
You're not happy with what is true?
After I've let myself be shared,
Will I not find a friend in you?

I'm concerned you won't be concerned;
That you'll leave my feelings broken.
So do excuse me, if to you,
It seems I'm not very open.
