Tonight
The skin upon the eye of the Exe
Ripples: a thick flotsam membrane
That sharply slurps greedily below
And then wrinkles in soft silk above:
Broken by light and Juxtaposed by metempsychosis.
About the stress of spirals that slide
A dog’s sour sweaty tang laced its snuffle along the course.
People: The lone wrinkled desperate drinking oblivion: their eyes distant
Avoid the smiles and the hands of others clasped embracing .
In slow steps: a shuffle -rasp – thunk! A clatter, a rustle:
Hard breathing. Bicycle wheels sharp clatter a slack click
Whispers of shaven grass are wildly kicked high By the Trinity
Who in beautiful sounding fits of hysterical giggles
Simply set alive this warm soft summer cologne
That can blaze the eye and block the nose with sweet seedcakes of snot.
Then onward: high into the blue shard above.
Here birds chatter humming excitedly they fly: wild and free
They are caught upon the skin in fractals
Upon a mirror that reflects darkly.
It is only by the skirt the skin thickens
A musk y hint of sloe hits at the rusting air.
To then blaze high with flames until
There's nothing in the world of matter:
Just mere rocks that collect dust
In spirals;
Outside is a vacuum,
A cacophony of silence
That is benumbing to the ears
And it’s cold...so bloody old
Yet I've never seen the stars
Shine so very bright
As they do in you (…)
