A good start to my day, anyway.

Great! And I'm the same, always listening to an audiobook when walking the dog. Unusual to hear real sounds. My thoughts. 

Such lovely imagery.  The apparent silence of the main road near me is a wondrous thing, especially when you recognise all the natural sounds that have either been there all the time, hidden away, or have come back.  

It's something I became aware of a while ago; the sounds of our surroundings can be very stimulating.

Enjoyed this. It's like noticing little things in the shape and colour of small flowers. I find I tune out birdsong very easily, and then wake up to it. But yes there is less noise around to distract, except for more children playing in the gardens with isolation and warmer weather!

And the last line importantt. Much to drown out thinking and thoughtfulness these days. Rhiannon
