THE STORY OF ME AND MY LIFE ENTRY FIFTEEN

28TH MARCH, 1999,

Sorry I haven't spoken to you for ages, Abi, I've been really busy. To cut a long story short, Chantelle's mum, Mrs Welky, finally got used to the fact that I was her husband's daughter, and that I was born while he was still married to her. It's been at least two weeks since I last talkd to you. That's because Mum decided to visit Nanny and Grandad, and we were going out every day, all day, and by the time we got back home, it was always so late that I went straight to bed. We're back home in Cornwall now, and I am in my bedroom, listening to a random CD Nanny and Grandad brought for me before we left. It's quite good actually. It's full of girlie singers like Beyonce and Christina Aguilera. All through the visit, I wasn't allowed to visit Chantelle, because her mother didn't think it was appropriate that we 'hang out together', as she put it. This was before she got used to me and Chantelle being sisters. By the end of the two week visit, she came round one evening to see us, and said that she's finally accepted it all, and then invited us back to her house for a slap up roast meal. Now I know why Mum wanted to stay and visit her parents. To wait for Mrs Welky. Of course, when I told her that and thanked her, she pretended she had no idea what I was talking about.
"Ali!" I've now paused the CD, I think Mum's calling. I'm now in the hallway."Yes, Mum?"
"Come down here for a minute!"
Uh-oh. What haven't I done now? Has the Devil Sibling told her I'd eaten one of her 'special' biscuits? Because if she did, I didn't.
"what is it, Mum?"
"That was Chantelle on the phone."
"Oh?"
"Yes, in August sometime, she's going on holiday with her family, and they wondered if we would like to go with them?"
"What, all of us?"
"Yes, me, you, Dad and Hannah."
"Yeah, okay."
"Okay, I'll ring them back and tell them you said you'd like to."
Yippie! Hey, Abi, I've got something to look forward to! I'll catch you later, I've got homework to do, double yuck...
