I watched Mum and the stranger in the doorway of Mum's bedroom. It couldn't be happening, it just couldn't. That girl isn't my sister, and I'm not dead!
I ran downstairs, and out into the garden. As I entered the air of outside, I suddenly felt like I was burning! I ran back indoors; I looked at the kitchen clock. It was three o' clock; when I exited the bathroom, it was two o' clock.
I entered the rest of the house. Mum was now in the computer room, probably MSNing all her buddies. I ran upstairs. The girl claiming to be Sophie was in my bedroom, listening to My Chemical Romance on my stereo. I raced in and turned off the music. Nothing happend. I tried again. Still nothing happened. 'Sophie' was on my bed writing in a notepad. I reached across and smacked her squarely on the face. The only reaction I got was that she shivered, but apart from that, she didn't even flinch.
"It's suddenly gone ever so cold in her," she said to herself."
Suddenly, from downstairs, I heard the sound of crying.
As I went into the computer room, I could see Mum sitting at the computer, tears pouring down her cheeks. 'Sophie' entered.
"Mum, what is it?" She asked.
"Oh, Sophie. I'm just getting emotional again over Sara's death."
My heart skipped a beat. 'My death?' I thought to myself.
"Don't worry, Mum," 'Sophie' said. "it is really depressing. I still get upset about it as well."
Hang on; 'still get upest? How long have I been dead?'
"Well, yes, it is. But, Sophie, it has been six months."
Six months?
"Six months is still allowable for you to still get upset, Mum."
I couldn't hear anymore, with a batch of tears stinging my face, I turned and went upstairs.
I went into the bathroom, got the ladder and climbed up into the attic. As I stood, brushing the dust off, I looked arounbd. And I saw a sight that made me gasp.
Standing in front of me, I saw a large white tube which glowed a white light outside of it. I ran over to it, and tried to see what was inside. I made out that there was a figure inside, a human figure. I looked around the tube to see if I could get it out. Round the back, I saw a big blue button, which I pushed. Stepping back, I watched as the tube opened with a hiss, and the figure stepped out. As I fully apprehended the figure coming out, the figure looked at me and we both gasped in shock...
What made Sara and the figure gasp in shock? Find out in Chapter Six...
