Leaf curtained, I stand
under your sure embrace
when the world cruelly slumbers
plots, schemes even in dreams
to rob, steal, plunder
my longed for peace
I lean against the knotted reality
of your assurance
encircle continuous the faithful pillar
of your evergreen society
inhale deep your unjudging
unhasting, cool companionship
in dread darkest night
Till at last
the race of my heart calmed
head cleared, eye heavied
sated by your silent love
I wend footsteps bedbound
to rediscover oblivion
