Pray pity, dream lover
come take me away
from left brainéd morons
who lean in on my frayed
jagged edges of reason
they've gathered to spill
my blood in psychobabble
they've zoned in for the kill
Mercy, my sweet darling
come rescue me from
entrapment of dulled vision
in a maddening throng
Tight buttocked old women
cack handed in praise
drag me back like a coven
to my dread yesterdays
Help! Help! My heart's hero
come calm, salvage me
from drowning in the mire
of a cravening dead sea
The past like black shadows
suck the life from my soul
So carry me to our future
before they swallow me whole

As a right-brained thinker, I would come to your rescue in a heartbeat, amlee. Enjoyed this.
"So carry me to the future
before they swallow me whole."
I know the feeling well.
