Since it was a bright sunny day, Rocky and his friends thought that it would be a good idea to go to the beach. So they went and, laughing and enjoying themselves, they sat on the sand and built a sandcastle.
Haza said, “Well, that looks like a lovely sandcastle. Splendid job guys.”
Rocky replied, “I agree. Well done everyone. Let’s go feel the waves.”
Everyone got up and felt the waves splashing their feet. They smiled, then they went back to sit round the sandcastle to play I spy. Rocky started, “I spy with my little eye something beginning with p.”
Everyone started looking about cluelessly for an hour and Rocky couldn’t believe it.
“You guys are unbelievable! When we were playing guessing games and you spotted the silly mistake which was guessing the obvious once I reminded you. I thought you would have learnt from our earlier game, it’s a pool.”
The animals laughed at themselves. It was Haza’s turn.
“I spy with my little eye something starting with U.”
Everyone said, “Umbrellas.”
Haza and Rocky were astonished that they could guess the obvious this time and applauded them. The next game they played was hide and seek. Rocky counted to 10. He managed to find the others who had all hidden behind bushes and trees. All except Haza. How strange, the animals all thought. Where was he? They went looking for him through the forest. They kept looking even though they were tired and hungry until eventually they found him behind a tree, giggling.
Rocky asked him, “What is the meaning of this? We tried looking for you everywhere. Why did you do this?”
Haza said, “Chill guys, I did it for fun.”
Then Rocky said, “You always do random things for fun which we don’t find funny.”
Haza said, “Sorry,” which made Rocky remember that they were really good friends.
“But that’s what we like about you and your banter,” he said.
Haza smiled. “Thank you, dude.”
They went back to sit round the sandcastle to play guessing games. Rocky started off by imitating a monkey which made everyone laugh and say, “Come on, Rocky, it’s a monkey.”
Then Jacky imitated someone, pretending to be a counsellor by giving advice to everyone. The animals burst out with laughter, including Jacky, who knew why. They continued to play merrily on the beach with laughter before the sun sank when they went back to the jungle for the night.
