Commitment, not scary for me

Commitment is a scary thing
for some, but not for me,
my problem is, or used to be,
getting attached way too soon
and for it only to bite me in the bum,
and when all was said and done
leave me slightly numb,
but this time it's different,new,
this time it's you,
and you make it so easy for me
to be who I am, to attach emotionally,
and to not be scared
because this is a feeling shared.

They say a man lives to about 83
so theres 66 years left for me,
but I would happily live 86 years
knowing that every day til I'm 103
you would be loving me.
