Power is a curse

Power is what we strive to achieve,
But power is a curse,
To be able to destroy the planet in an instant,
I can't think of anything worse,
You could lead the nation with a microphone,
But actions speak louder than words,
If you blow up the planet,
What does that tell the nation,
Are you starting some global elimination,
To try and end some global discrimination,
Well we the people have to rise against,
All that is wrong in the present tense,
To make the leaders see sense,
NO more harmful gases,
NO more world war three,
This world belongs to everyone,
Including you and me,
So put down your weapons and shake each others hand,
It's time for the people to make their final stand.
