Retro Rita

With your speakerphone blaring
You demand attention
You speak in terms that are retro
That causes others to chuckle and snicker
You're hair has been teased and tortured
With sprays, gels and hair clips.
Clairol made a fortune off of you
They have fought desperately to hide
The roots of your past
Frost clings to my windows
Yet you strut around in tank tops
Exposing your sun-scarred skin to the world
You've probably paid thousands in attempts
To hide the sagging of your breasts and neck
Thousands of dollars could not hide
The impact age has left on you
Fiery red gloss over your noticeably
Chemically Infused lips causes more glances
Eyes are focused intently on your
Always shocked expression
No matter the season, you wear pumps
We are forced to behold you ruby red toenails
Spandex should be a privilege
To those with soft, supple and toned skin
Step into the modern world, ma'am
Our eyes don't deserve to suffer through any more
