I don't remember really what I wanted to tell you,
but the patterned carpet and missed aeroplanes
and bar stools and people walking down staircases wearing uniforms, is all a bit everyday.

I know the things you want to hear are unsuals -
so Charlie, I can tell you,
I go into dark rooms with chandeliers to read
books like 'Room with a View', I try as often as possible to sit on stacked up chairs,
milk crates and metal steps.
But this does not make me interesting.

I don't ever buy carnations, I think in design so I don't encourage people to grow them either.
When I see them, I think it best to end the misery by uprooting. I have technique.
You will be relieved to hear I do often fall in love, once with a woman with complicated collarbones.

Sometimes, I go on trips -
places where the fountains run at night
and the tables are laid with couples wrists.
I sit in the park and formulate opinions about other people's friends. Sometimes I buy grapes
